The Marvelous Music Tag

So. Autumn is crediting me with this one, but she’s the one who started the tag of musical goodness that I was tagged to do. So, thanks Autumn! This is my first tag, so that’s exciting! ^-^

Here are this tag’s rules:

  1. Thank the person who tagged you and link back to their blog.
  2. Share the tag graphic (I’ll put it at the bottom for easy access for you)
  3. Link back to the original blogs (here you go, Autumn: Scribes and Archers)
  4. Answer the questions. (song links are optional)
  5. Tag 5 bloggers and give them 10 questions to answer (or just pass on the questions you got)

All right! On to the questions!

One: What is your favourite song?

Gah. I have to pick? I don’t know. D: I love too much music for me to pick.

Two: What song defines you as a person?

Currently oh, this is tough without making people mad and/or curious as to why their blogger is a sad, lonely child. But Silhouette by Owl City, I guess. (can you tell I don’t like to get personal? heh)

Three: What song defines who you want to be as a person?

I don’t know, but when I did this list with just my friends (to test it) I said This is Me from The Greatest Showman, so we’re sticking with that one.

Four: What song takes your breath away?

You Raise Me Up by Celtic Woman I don’t know why. See also… you know what? I dunno.

Five: What is your favourite song from a musical?

I guess right now it’s Come Alive from The Greatest Showman. Yay! One  finally have an actual answer for!

Six: What song can you not help but love?

Montana and New York City by Owl City and I Am Home by Francesca Battistelli.

Seven: What’s one song you can’t help but dance to?

Footloose by Kenny Loggins. Every time, whether at a school dance or in between sets at swim practice.

Eight: What’s a song you can’t help but sing to?

Pretty much anything Disney. XD

Nine: What’s a song that reminds you of a book/series you love?

Well, as Autumn, the one who tagged me, mentioned Cornerstone by Hillsong Worship has that line – ‘My anchor holds within the veil’ – that reminds me of Dreamtreaders by Wayne Thomas Batson. Once I realized it, I was never the same.

See also my love of House Wren and Cinematic by Owl City that remind me of the Incarceron Duology (link to a review I did here) but mostly because that’s what I was listening to while reading them. XD So no real connection there, they just happened to be in the same place at the same time.

Ten: What is a song that makes you cry?

Well, I am an impenetrable wall of strength and never cry…

No, just kidding, I’m a big mushy soft thing. XD Without fail (almost) Where’s the Line To See Jesus by (Ihaveonidea, doyouknow?) will do it. Mostly because I remember my mom singing it at our old church for the Christmas talent show and how cool it was, so it reminds me of that. Also, just the song in general is so cute and moving in it’s own right.

Autumn also mentioned Cinderella by Stephen Curtis Chapman definitely deserves an honorable mention in this category.

Yep! Me in music. Well, not really. XD For that I’d have to leave links to all my playlists through all of time, and since I have not yet invented a time machine, I am unable to provide you with that. So here is but a sliver of my current self in song form. ;D

And I tagggg:

Leila from Wildflowers and Cosmic Tea

And, yeah. That’s it. I don’t know anyone else. Heh. I am but a new baby when it comes to the blogger world. D:L

Have a great Friday!

~ Allie
